We teamed up with Okuda, Save The Children and the people of Puerto Rico to transform an abandoned basketball court into a community center after Hurricane Maria destroyed the area. The locals came together to bring the space back to life with the vibrant designs of Okuda. The region was still without power and fully operational schools five months after the hurricane hit so the children wanted a place where they could enjoy themselves and focus on the future.
The community was part of every step of the project so they could develop the skills needed to repeat the work in other areas. They are now spreading some colour to the rest of Puerto Rico with the support of Save The Children. Show your support to people still struggling in the region by sharing this story or visiting Save The Children.
